The Spanish Committee of People with Disabilities Representatives (CERMI), is the Spanish umbrella organisation representing the interests of more than 3.5 million women and men with disabilities in Spain. The mission of CERMI is to guarantee equal opportunities of women and men with disabilities and to protect their human rights, ensuring they are fully included in society.
CERMI membership includes main Spanish NGOs representing the different types of disabilities, specialized organisations committed to disability issues and regional umbrella organisations of people with disabilities. All of them gather more than 4.500 associations, representing more than 3.5 million people with disabilities in Spain (9% of Spanish population).
